The library was opened on the 29th of June in the village of Didi Toneti, Tetritskaro Municipality, with the funding of the company DIO and the request of the Director of the National Library Giorgi Kekelidze.
DIO has fully equipped the library with high-quality energy-efficient metal-plastic doors and windows and vertical blinds, making it a more cozy and pleasant environment.
Irma Daushvili, General Director of DIO, addressed the attendees and noted that:
"The goal of Dio is to promote the development and education of young people, to promote books and the existence of libraries in highland villages. We should be proud that there is another modern library in a highland village with lots of books, which in turn has become a kind of oasis in this village. ''
The initiator of the project is poet Datia Batliashvili, who has been trying to restore the old library for 1 year.
Vazha-Pshavela taught young people for 2 years in the village of Didi Toneti. The library is named after Vazha-Pshavela and its goal is to raise the awareness of Georgian youth about Georgian cultural monuments.
Let us remind you that the company DIO also funded the library near the occupation line last year, which is still one of the active centers for the people living there.
