On March 30, one of the sponsors of the charity evening organized by the organization "American Friends of Georgia" was the company DIO. DIO also bought an unusual landscape from Beso Sakvarelidze from the paintings of Georgian artists presented at the charity gala evening held in support of the Dzegvi Shelter and the first hospice and palliative care service in Georgia, "Hospice Transfiguration".
It is important for DIO to support the goals of sustainable development, and for the second year in a row, the gala evening organized by the charity organization "American Friends of Georgia" is a pleasure to join.
The Dzegvi shelter currently houses 80 people, including orphans, adults with disabilities and homeless elderly people. With the money raised during the charity evenings of "American Friends of Georgia" during the last two years, it was possible to restore the Dzegvi shelter building and implement a free home care service program. The restored building was able to accommodate an additional 60 people and conduct rehabilitation programs. Another beneficiary of the American Friends of Georgia charity is the Hospice Transfiguration Mercy Center, which includes a free hospice.
Proceeds from the March 30 Charity Gala Evening will also be used to equip the auction house with furniture and appliances for the Dzegvi Shelter building and to fund the extension of the Transfiguration Mercy Center's free program.
